“Posting Problems” – Polish Radio podcast featuring Stefan Schwarz and dr Marcin Kiełbasa

Topics discussed during the European Labour Mobility Congress are increasingly becoming part of the broader public debate on the future of the EU Single Market, competitiveness and labour mobility in Europe.

In the latest episode of the “Szczyt Europy” podcast — a joint project of Polskie Radio and TVN24 — Beata Płomecka speaks with Stefan Schwarz and dr Marcin Kiełbasa about the planned revision of EU Regulations 883/2004 and 987/2009 on the coordination of social security systems.

While the subject may appear technical, the discussion addresses one of the key questions for the future of the Single Market: will Europe support the mobility of services and workers, or continue to treat it primarily as a risk to be controlled?

The conversation covers, among others:
– the growing number of procedures and administrative obligations linked to the posting of workers
– the impact of national regulations and administrative practices on the freedom to provide services
– the consequences of excessive barriers for the competitiveness of European service providers
– the tension between labour market protection and the functioning of the EU Single Market

The podcast develops many of the themes discussed during ELMC 2026 and shows that the debate on labour mobility and the freedom to provide services is becoming one of the key economic and political discussions shaping Europe’s future.
