Please join us for the upcoming session in the Posting Lab series – the interactive workshop “Summer ABC of Posting,” which will take place on Thursday, 3 July 2025, from 11:00 to 13:00.

The workshop will be led by Dr Marek Benio – Vice President of ELMI, expert in labour and social security law, academic lecturer, and experienced consultant on the posting of workers.

Key concepts and terminology: labour mobility vs. worker mobility; posting vs. business trip

Choosing the applicable legislation: overview of the Posting of Workers Directive, employment conditions, remuneration, and contractor obligations

Employer obligations (public and private law): notifications, document retention, and informing the employee

Long-term postings: calculating the 12 + 6-month period, notification procedures, and accumulation of postings

Social security coordination: determining the applicable legislation, the “single legislation” rule, lex loci laboris, and continuation of coverage

Common pitfalls in practice: prior affiliation, replacement workers, time limits, marginal work, and non-genuine postings

Current challenges: posting of third-country nationals, temporary agency work, and the lending of workers under EU law
